CIR (52.910447, 23.908723 – 52.899644, 23.924796)

The image shows a highly detailed aerial CIR* image of a location on the Polish-Belarusian border taken in August 2022, just one month after the completion of the Polish border fence. The fence was built to deter unwanted migration. The empty area on the right of the image shows a lack of image data which encompasses the end of the dataset and an area of Belarusian territory. Within the image we see part of the border infrastructure connecting to the course of the river Narew.
What is not visible in this ‘infra-red image’ which models the light spectrum beyond human vision are the people on the move, who often get into difficulty in this hostile swampy terrain.

The proceeds from this multiple go to support local activists and NGOs who continue to work tirelessly to provide assistance and relief to people on the move at the Polish Belarusian border who find themselves in difficulty. The multiple can be purchased by communicating directly with the artists at info@nulpuntwolk.nu
